Best Quotes from T4G
Written by Matt Markins on May 10, 2012
Recently I had the opportunity to attend T4G in Louisville, KY. Although I missed the last day (Matt Chandler and John Piper . . . I know, the best part right?) of T4G, I did get to hear 5 or 6 incredibly challenging sermons. The thing I really appreciate about this event is its laser like focus on Scripture and the central message of the Gospel.
So, I'm asking myself, with all of the conferences, movements, and initiatives in the Body of Christ, why is T4G so important? As I understand Scripture, it seems to me that we can have the greatest church strategies in the world and the most amazing team on the planet, but everything is in vain if we forget or assume the Gospel. This is our primary source. This comes first . . . everything else (even really important stuff!) comes next.
I wrote down a few quotes that I found helpful, profound, and challenging. Hopefully you will find some of them useful in your life or ministry.
NOTE: I did my best to record these “word for word” but I tend to live a life that is far from perfect . . . so I’m sure my translation abilities will follow suit. Enjoy these “almost quotes.”
