Our guest for today’s interview is Kelsey Gothard. Kelsey is the founder and artistic director for Courtney’s Corner, an organization based on providing programming to accommodate all ability levels. Kelsey joins us to speak to ministry leaders and parents on how to have a thriving inclusive ministry. Kelsey explains what is meant by the words “inclusive ministry” and why she’s so passionate about this topic. She gives us her perception of where the local church may have some misunderstandings of the needs of children with special needs or disabilities. She recommends some adaptations that can be useful to create a more inclusive environment, and she explains how the church can minister to these families outside of the church walls and beyond Sunday mornings.
