We have the honor of sitting down with Valerie Bell, CEO of Awana and author of the book, Resilient. As the gap between church and society continues to widen, Valerie gives us three components that are essential for shaping long-term faith in a child. As she explains belonging, believing, and becoming, Valerie challenges ministry leaders to self-assess their ministries. Many times fun activities overshadow the spiritual backbone of our ministries, so Valerie encourages churches to be “fearless” and make necessary shifts to ensure their ministry is making an impact that will last children through adulthood.
