Today, we hear from Donnie Thaden. Donnie helps parents and ministry leaders approach how to teach children to study the Bible. Donnie tells us how important it is for parents to be part of the process of helping their children learn to study the Bible for themselves, and he explains the capacity that children have to understand Scripture. He gives great suggestions on keeping Bible study kid-friendly and on their level without presenting a watered-down shallow version. Donnie gives us the five aspects of a great tool of his, the HEART method, and gives examples of successes he’s seen in ministry by using this method. He also gives parents who feel anxious and don’t know where to start a final word of encouragement.
