Today’s guest is Dr. Timothy Paul Jones. Dr. Jones has written the book, Why Should I Trust the Bible?, and he begins our conversation explaining why the Bible is a difficult book to believe. He tells about his own journey walking through skepticism and truth-seeking and gives us insight into what a Christian’s faith should look like. Dr. Jones encourages question asking and challenges parents and ministry leaders to avoid shutting down students’ difficult questions about the Bible. We learn ideas on how to reach young people who have been turned off to Christianity due to the misuse of the Bible, and Dr. Jones shares the big questions he’s hearing from teens and college students in relation to the Bible. He guides us to some astounding resources to help parents and ministry leaders take that first step in helping their students defend the truthfulness of the Bible.
