We are joined today by Steven Ackley. Steven begins by telling us how we got to the place where discipling children moved from the home to full-time church leaders and how youth pastors can respond when a parent blames them for their child’s lack of spiritual growth. Steven describes the differences he sees in young adults that had strong discipleship in the home. He explains why young adults seem disengaged in the church and provides practical steps the church can take to make some headway in reaching young adults. Finally, Steven coaches parents on practices they can begin right now to better ensure their children will continue following Christ after high school.
