We are honored to have Amy Rienow as our guest today. Amy is with us to discuss many aspects of the role of being a pastor’s wife. She shares frustrations that may come with this role, balancing being a pastor’s wife and mom, and the weight that pastors’ kids might feel that many others may not understand. Amy describes the loneliness that often comes with being a pastor’s wife and encourages pastors’ wives to create relationship categories to make sure they aren’t sacrificing life-giving relationships. She speaks words of advice to the pastor’s wife, encouraging her to celebrate who God made her to be and to avoid feeling she has to reinvent herself for others. Finally, Amy challenges pastors’ wives to remember their primary ministry is to their husbands, and she recommends resources that have helped her in her role as a pastor’s wife.
