God Knows!
Read the following list to your child and ask them to tell you what the items on the list have in common.
Diving Paddleboarding
Surfing Rafting
Canoeing Sailing
Kayaking Snorkeling
Fishing Jet Skiing
All those activities take place in or on the water. Did you know there was a time when God led His people across the Jordan River? The people did not know how they were going to cross, but they obeyed God’s instructions. As soon as the priests, carrying the ark of the covenant, stepped into the river, the water stopped flowing. They crossed on dry land! Just as God knew what was ahead of the Israelites, He knows what is ahead of us. He has a plan to guide and protect us. We can trust God and we must obey Him!

Read each Scripture together and match it to the correct sentence. (Feel free to adjust the number of stones to best fit the needs of your family.)
Explain to your child that the Israelites built a memorial out of stones from the riverbed to remind them of how God took care of them. Emphasize to your child the importance of trusting God, obeying Him, and remembering His faithfulness to help us. Choose one of the verses to begin memorizing as a family this week.
God Is With You!

God knows what we need, and He is always with us. He has a plan for each of us, and our job is to trust and obey Him. He is always with us and will give us the strength and courage we need!
