This week, we have guests Dannah Gresh and Jason Romano.

Dannah Gresh continues last week’s conversation on the lies girls believe. She coaches moms on how to lead a discussion with their daughter on having a relationship with Christ, she discusses how to positively use the influence of social media to develop a girl’s sense of beauty and self-acceptance, and she addresses the correlation between anxiety and social media. Dannah shares six factors of true friendship, three stages of moral development, and key conversations moms should be having with their daughters. She also provides advice for where parents can begin these discussions if they haven’t so far, and she advises ministry leaders on how they can coach parents to be having these conversations.

Jason Romano, author of Live to Forgive: Moving Forward When Those We Love Hurt Us, shares his personal testimony of growing up with an alcoholic father. He describes his relationship with his father, the pain of realizing his father was choosing alcohol over him, and how he finally came to a point of forgiveness. Jason reminds us of how Ephesians 4 defines forgiveness and explains how empathy, when his father was at his lowest, played a part in his ability to forgive. Jason describes why boundaries are necessary and offers wisdom to listeners struggling to forgive.
