We are so thankful to have Sandra Peoples join us today on the podcast. Sandra is talking with us about ways to welcome students and families with disabilities. She gives us a snapshot of ways we can ensure that the ministries in our church are a place for all to learn, grow, and hear the gospel. Sandra shares what would make a family feel more comfortable bringing their child with a disability, including what is shown on the church’s website and the tools provided at the church. She also explains a buddy system that she uses in her own church for those students who need a little extra support. Sandra explains the training that she provides for the buddy volunteers, and she describes the infrastructure that all ministries should have in place to welcome those with special needs or disabilities.
