Today, we are joined by Alisa Childers, author of Live Your Truth and Other Lies. Alisa talks with us about the popularity of the Progressive movement and the biblical response to it. She points out signs or indicators that a church or pastor may be headed down this Progressive road. She also advises on whether it’s beneficial to read authors that have a Progressive bent in their beliefs. Alisa describes how our culture’s sexual ethic has impacted the Progressive movement. She also explains how churches can help newer believers who are being pulled in different directions based on what the world is telling them and what the Bible says. Finally, Alisa gives her prediction on the lifespan of the Progressive movement and warns Christians of the dangers of embracing this “gospel of self.”
