Today, we are excited to sit down with Bruce Wilkinson and Michael DiMarco.
Bruce Wilkinson, author of Experiencing Spiritual Breakthroughs, dives into the three chairs of generational discipleship. Bruce describes in detail the characteristics of each chair based on examples revealed in the books of Joshua and Judges. He expounds upon the struggle of moving up from second chair to first chair but offers encouragement for those lukewarm Christians that are looking to increase their discipline of abiding in Christ. He focuses on the impact each chair has on the next generation.
Michael DiMarco talks on “burying the hatchet” in the choice between amputation versus restoration. As in all families, the body of Christ has its own drama. When problems arise, our culture tends to lean toward amputation; the “problem members” are asked to leave, or we self-amputate and look for a fresh start. However, the core of the gospel is restoration. Michael reminds us that although restoration is painstaking and takes time, amputation is irreversible.
