First Steps Nursery Program is an all-inclusive, year-long curriculum for establishing and maintaining a teaching nursery ministry in the local church. The program materials provide help for setting up a nursery, selecting equipment, recruiting and training staff, teaching toddlers, encouraging parents, and so much more. Puppets, songs, fingerplays, and activities help the youngest children learn about God. One highlight is an emphasis on prayer and Scripture encouragement ideas for the parents and teachers of babies.
At Home
Cuddle Time Bible Storybook is a, full-color storybook containing Bible stories that are interactive, age-appropriate, and beautifully illustrated. Each book has two distinct stories based on the preschool Heartprints. When taught or repeated often, a Heartprint is a biblical concept that helps imprint truth on the heart of a child. Cuddle Time Bible Storybook helps parents and little ones explore God’s Word together.
Cuddle Cards provide a weekly tool for parents to continue the biblical emphasis from the lesson and capture teachable moments throughout the week. Suggestions are provided for scriptural prayers as well as interaction with older babies to reinforce the monthly Heartprint. These tools, provided by the church, serve to encourage and train parents as they establish a foundation of spiritual education at home. A set of Cuddle Cards should be purchased for each child in the classroom. They are printed on durable cardstock, and perforated for easy separation.
